GÓRAZDZE BETON SP. Z O. O.

GÓRAZDZE BETON SP. Z O. O. –SEAMLESS UPGRADE AND OPTIMAL EFFICIENCY

The Górażdże Group is a leader in the Polish construction industry, offering high-quality products and services related to cement and concrete production. The company owns and operates several cement plants, including the Górażdże Cement Plant, which has been in operation for over 100 years. The Górażdże Group recently undertook a project to upgrade its concrete mixing plant, which involved relocating the equipment and optimizing its process technology.

Challenges

The biggest challenge that the Górażdże Group faced during this project was connecting the relocated mobile concrete mixing plant with the existing field conditions. The company needed to ensure that the new equipment would fit into the space available, including the silos and buildings in the area. Additionally, health and safety aspects needed to be considered during the equipment installation process. The company also aimed to reduce downtime and OPEX costs during the upgrade.

Solution

To address these challenges, the Górażdże Group turned to DIS/CREADIS for their expertise in 3D scanning and modeling. The team conducted 3D scans of both the existing plant and the mobile concrete mixing plant, which allowed them to merge the scans and optimize the process technology. They then designed a new steel structure for the equipment, which included creating a 3D model that incorporated the scans and the new structure.

Benefits

The use of 3D scans and modeling allowed the Górażdże Group to identify clashes between the mobile mixing plant and the existing field conditions before the installation process began. This helped to reduce downtime and ensure that the equipment fit properly into the available space. The new steel structure also created more access area around the equipment, which improved safety during operation. By optimizing the process technology, the Górażdże Group was able to reduce OPEX costs and improve overall efficiency.

SKY-LIGHT – NEW FLEXIBLE ROBOTIC PACKAGING PRODUCTION MACHINE DELIVERES INCREASED SAFETY FOR NEW PLANT

SKY-LIGHT, a film and packaging manufacturer, has invested in a new production plant that required an efficient and safe packaging system. The previous manual processes were not optimal in terms of the working environment and safety, and the new plant had to be able to handle rolls weighing between 200 kg and 1800 kg (441 lb. to 3968 lb.). This meant that the packaging system needed to be very flexible and capable of adjusting to nine different packing methods. SKY-LIGHT did not have the internal resources to develop this system, and so they contacted DIS/CREADIS to take over the development, construction, design, setup, assembly, and commissioning of the plant.
