NOV produces flexible oil pipes for offshore use. The pipes pump oil or gas deep beneath the seabed, which requires a very flexible design that can tolerate high pressure and drag.

When NOV wanted to develop a new control system used in the extrusion process, they contacted DIS. DIS and NOV worked in close collaboration to develop a new control system, which ensured the strict requirements for surface temperatures during the extrusion process. The new system contributes to a more consistent quality while reducing the installation and changeover time significantly.
